Aircraft Type Taining

Once the learners has obtained a National Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance and Overhaul and have
experience on aircraft type s/he wants to obtain an aircraft maintenance engineer’s licence.
The learner can then continue to complete an aircraft type training courses

REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAINING A SOUTH AFRICAN AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER’S LICENCE

Admission requirements:
  • The National Aircraft Maintenance and Overhaul
  • Experience On Aircraft Type
Note: These requirements are base on the South African Civil Aviation Authority Part 66
  • National Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance and Overhaul (Trade Certificate)
  • Aircraft Type Training.
    ( Relevant Type Training Courses and Relevant General courses as per SA CAA requirements)
  • Relevant Experience
    (logged on the SACAA AME Logbook)
